Progress with Small Bomb Shelters

We have completed four small bomb shelters (Mamad rooms) attached to existing apartments at Yad Hashmona. These shelters are located in the older section of our residential area, where houses are very close together and lack a proper safe space within a reasonable running distance. These additions are a tremendous blessing in times of trouble and have greatly enhanced the security of Yad Hashmona’s families.

Community Yom Kippur Prayer and Worship

When Yom Kippur (the Day of Atonement) began at sunset, the members of our moshav gathered together and were joined by many others to fast, sing, and praise God, as our nation does each year on this sacred day. It was a deep experience to cry out to God—to ask for forgiveness for our nation, to seek His salvation, and to pray that He would open people’s eyes so they may know the Messiah, Yeshua. Here is a glimpse of the beautiful singing from that evening.

Moshav Sukkot Celebrations

The Sukkot gatherings in the various sukkahs across the Moshav were a joy to behold. Many people welcomed extended family members, and we could hear the singing and laughter from meal to meal, sukkah to sukkah. We also celebrated a Kabbalat Shabbat meal outdoors with many friends from the Messianic community and visitors from the north. It was a profound reminder of God’s call to remember how He placed us in temporary booths and provided for all our needs before we entered the Promised Land. Today, as many Israelis remain displaced and the north of the country faces daily bombings, this holiday serves as a powerful reminder of God’s sovereignty over our homes, security, and well-being.

Testimonials from October 7th Memorial

On October 7th, we held a special gathering where some of the men who served for many months at a time, shared their stories of the events that took place that day and in the months that followed. They were some of the most powerful testimonies we’ve ever heard, as many rarely speak about their experiences. We heard incredible accounts of how God protected them on the battlefield, answering the prayers of so many of you who pray for Israel.

Pre-IDF Training Programs

The pre-IDF training program taking place at Yad Hashmona kicked off with another group this year, and we praise God for these wonderful young men and women preparing for their IDF service. In the picture, you can see some of the former program participants who have already been drafted, along with their unit friends, as they embark on their next two years of serving our nation. Those who become officers will serve for three years. We are very proud of these determined young believers who give so much to the country at this time.

Help provide refuge during the war

Any funds donated to Yad Hashmona will be allocated exclusively to war relief efforts: hosting the evacuees at Yad Hashmona, adding the needed bomb shelters, securing the path around the Moshav and continuing with our community service.
